In the joint archaeological collections of the Medieval Museum and the Stockholm City Museum, there are over 200,000 registered finds.

The archaeological collections consist of finds from excavations conducted by the City Museum and private actors in the Stockholm municipality.

Among these are approximately 36,000 items from the excavations at Helgeandsholmen from 1978—1980, thousands of finds from Årstafältet and Järvafältet, as well as about twenty boat finds from the city center.
