Date: November

Time:

Location: Nicolaisalen, Själagårdsgatan 9–13, Old Town

Listen to a lecture inspired by Ian Mortimer’s time-travelling guides. Discover medieval sights, survival tips, and daily life!

Imagine travelling back in time and arriving in fifteenth-century Stockholm. What sights, smells and sounds would strike you first? Where would you go to find a bite to eat or a place to stay? Who might you bump into along the way? How do you avoid getting into trouble? And, perhaps most importantly, how on earth can we know any of this today?

Taking inspiration from historian Ian Mortimer's The Time Traveller's Guide to… series, this lecture offers an introduction to medieval Stockholm and answers the essential questions any visitor needs to know.

The lecture is in English and delivered by Joshua Mellor, educator at the Medieval Museum.
