Medieval Hub
- 10 am—4 pm
Curious about medieval Stockholm? Drop by and learn about the time when the Old Town was new! In the Medieval Hub you’ll find medieval-themed shopping, a mini exhibition, and tickets for guided walks.
Short guided walks
- 10.30 am, 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm in Swedish
- 11.30 am 2.30 pm in English
We explore sites that reveal life in the medieval city, spotting traces still visible in cobblestones and building façades. The tour includes Stortorget’s dark history, the inner courtyard of the parish church, and streets where people have hurried by since the 1200s.
Storkyrkan Boys’ Choir
- 1.15—1.30 pm
The choir will process from Själagården to the courtyard of Storkyrkan (Stockholm Cathedral). The boys’ choir traces its roots back to the late 17th century and regularly performs at concerts in Stockholm, throughout Sweden, and abroad. In the courtyard, they will perform medieval music under the direction of conductor Gregory Lloyd.

Try on a suit of armour
Knight Alexander will demonstrate and talk about medieval armour — you’ll get to try on parts of the suit!
Interact with an artifact
Meet our archaeologists and see, touch, and ask about fascinating objects from the past (not only the medieval period).
Play chess and other medieval games
Sit down for a game and travel back in time. Modern rules allowed!
Meet a housewife
Throughout the day, you can meet one of the city’s housewives. Here, you will learn about food and housekeeping in the medieval town.
